Re: Problems

These problems all sound very familiar, almost identical to the problems
that claimed so many of my cichlids. (Thanks for all the help / replies on
that peoples!)

I also tried isolating and treatment with sterazin (ina high oxygen
environment), again with no luck. All the fish infected appeared to exhibit
inflamed or discoloured gills, but with no visible parasites. I traced the
source of my problems back to one bad batch of fish, but touch wood ( very
big piece) I have been fre of this for nearly 3 weeks.

I have stoped the feeding of all externally purchased live food, not added /
moved any fish and isolated the tanks in terms of cleaning equipment.

Appears to have worked, but still dont know what / why caused this disease.

Thats an ionteresting comment about the changes in TDS etc Mike - my deaths
showed no relationship to water changes,a nd I'm pretty sure the hardness /
conductivity / pH in the tanks are pretty stable. Its always impossible to
tell what exactly was going on in the water, as my tanks are filled with
tapwater / R.O mix, thats remineralised and adjusted for pH to suit.

Ideas anybody?
