Wild caught A. sp. Papagei/Parrot are listed the Sept. 2002 ACA Trading Post.
Check it out. Both A. sp. Pebas & Papagei are blackwater fish, but should
readily reproduce at pH 6 & moderately soft water. I wouldn't be surprised if
they bred in your Corvallis tap water once you filtered it through a little
peat. Check the April 2002 issue of the ACA's Buntbarsche Bulletin (#209). It
has an excellent article on Papagei by Römer under the entirely ludicrous name
"A. sp. Nanay". Papagei does not come from anywhere near the Rio Nanay.
