Re: Albinism and Aggression

Jeeze Dave.....don't hold me to these genetics.....the courses I had were
about 35 years ago......but if the "white" gene is anything like a recessive
gene in angels then it takes a matching recessive gene to go with it before
it's gonna show again........that means if it's a male try going back to the
"mother" female.......you lost "pappa" so if it's a female go back to a male
brother......actually several brothers if you can......keep track of the
fathers and when it shows up you have the combination.......but then if it
shows up again you now have some young that you could go back to the
original "white" one with...................or you could go buy some "white"
cacatuoides......;-)

The only white ones I've seen are here in Tampa at a fish farmers.......he
is importing them and the Huser aggie (ALL
MALES!!!!!!!!!!!!!)..............I have been in on my knees trying to get
females but the person over-seas WILL NOT release any females...........just
like the "Steel Blue" apisto.........except these are not a cross as the
"Steel Blue" seems to be.....maybe I'll go and get some of the white males
and just make a couple of crosses and see what happens........it's really
just a matter of staying with it..........it has to happen sooner or
later.....................!!!

Neil Lillidol had gotten a pair of white cacatuoides a bit back from, I
think, a guy in Hawaii...............maybe he could shed some light on
this?????

For you guys who are wondering what it looks like.....................the
body of the fish is WHITE, I mean white.......not pink.....white......black
eyes.....the color of the fins are x2 or x3 red with the black in the fins
as normal cacatuoides in the dorsal and caudal and in some the anal
fins..........the ventral fins are colorless...........not one you would
probably kill for but very interesting............very interesting
indeed....................what I would really like to see is a
"white"-Orange flash...........can I say that???...;-)
