Re: OT: Photo pinchers!

Francine,
So far people always asked me for permission to use my photos. I never say no when asked nicely.:)
I would contact Mark at aquabid and report the issue to him if you haven't done that already.
It also helps to put a warning about copyright laws and the illegal use of your photos on your website.
I stopped using originals on my website.I only use compressed low quality 400x300 copies. Those are good for webpublishing only, nothing else. It's a shame that people pinch photos. It takes a lot of time and effort to get decent photos, the least people can do is ask.

P.S: Lois and I will be joining the PVAS soon.Ron talked us into joining.:)

I realize that once you post pictures on the web that
you open yourself up to idiots like the one below.
Everyone that has used my pictures so far have asked
to use them and have given me credit. But what should
I do about a person who lifts a photo from the Potomac
Valley Aquarium Society and claim that you didn't take
it? It's so asinine that it gives me a headache.

Read the correspondance from such a person.

WRONG! Aqualog gave you the rights to a photo that I
took of a fish I bred and own. The fish in this
picture is an aquarium strain, know-it-all. The only
place I posted this picture was on the PVAS club
website.

Take care!
