recently at a local petshop, i saw 2 south american knife fish (the=20
electric type, ramphichtidae family, or something like that, pardon my=
=20
bad latin), these are mottled dark and light brown with a longish=20
snout=2E would anyone know its identity, care and requirements? i=20
couldn't find them in the baensch atlas or any other books i have=2E =20

i once bought some transparent knifes (Eigenmannia virescens) and they=
=20
didn't live very long=2E i'm afraid to obtain these "trumpet knife" a=
s=20
they are labeled at the store, as many wild-caught fish don't adjust=20
well to aquarium life and just waste away=2E
