Jason, A. maciliensis is now considered to be a valid species in its own right. Previously it was thought to be, at most, a subspecies of A. trifasciata. It is more closely related to A. trifasciata than A. sp. Rio Mamoré, so it has more features in common with the former than the latter. The yellow area and irregular diagonal band are about the only visible features on live specimens that can be used for IDing this species. There are internal and meristic features that are different but only useful on preserved species.
