Re: synonyms

Taxonomic synonyms are basically two or more names used for the same species.
Junior synonyms are just later synonyms of the senior synonym of a species
(usually the earliest description). The Code considers junior synonym to be
invalid scientific names, not to be used in scientific papers. For example,
junior synonyms for A. bitaeniata are A. sweglesi, A. klausewitzi, and A. kleei
(but I sometimes wonder about A. sweglesi).
