Night light for krib fry

My Krib fry are now about a month old and are becoming more independent
everday (although the parents still bully the other fish around if they get
too close to the fry).   My question is: is it safe to turn off the night
light over the tank now?  I want to try and get some of my plants to flower,
but I think the night light is messing up their photo-period.  Thanks,
