You don't need to keep the tank light on.  You just need to have a lamp on
near the tank at night.  If your fry are small enough to get eaten by their
tank mates, then you should have some light on during the night.

Your plants photoperiod is going to get messed up anyway.  But, you either
want kribs or you want flowers.  You can't have both.  And your Kribs will
spawn again, and again, and again..........:) :)  For the plants to flower
they need absolute darkness for a significant number of hours every night.
Even turning on a room light for a few seconds will prevent flowering.
