Your water conditions sound fine for breeding the Apistogrammoides but I
wouldn't even think of trying to spawn them in a 2 gallon tank.   I've
spawned apistos in 5 gallon tanks but they were young small fish.   I
like to use at least a 10 or 15 gallon tank as my breeder size for
single pairs.    20 long or larger is what I use as my group breeding
tanks where I have 1 male and 2 or 3 females.     I make sure there is
at least one flower pot per fish in these tanks.   Hope this helps.
