Secondly, Barry I was looking up the symptoms of your fish in Axelerod's
Mini Atlas and it describes Tuberculosis as to having a similar affect on
the fish.  

I am sorry for your losses.  Perhaps someone with more experience with fish
diseases could be of more help.
