I agree with John about two males fighting, but I don't think the
hatchets will be a problem. They are surface fish, and if your tank is
planted, there will be no problem at all. The fry will hide amongst the
plants. If your tank is not planted, keep the hatchets well fed, and
they should leave your Apisto fry alone.
