While I am no ram expert, I'll throw my 0.02 in. I totally agree with finding juvenile specimens from a local breeder/club. Rams were one of the first cichlids I wanted to try and it took quite a while to find good specimens. (LFS got them from a breeder in FL). They are doing great, and spawn regularly for me. (Although I haven't gotten any fry yet). Good luck with your rams. They are great fish! ----- Original Message ----- From: <IDMiamiBob@aol.com> To: <apisto@admin.listbox.com> Sent: Saturday, October 09, 1999 5:49 PM Subject: Re: Blue Ram deaths, Suggestions? I would advise you try to otain juvenuile specimens from a local breeder/club auction. They will be less stressed from shipping and will certainly not be the low-quality stuff that often comes from Asia.
