Bob, I have sealed several slate bottom tanks with silicone sealant including a cast iron famed 25 gallon tank built by Jewel out of Chicago. I was told it came from Beheads Naval Hospital as surplus about 30 years ago. Weighs a ton but has a pretty brass name plate. What more can I ask for?
