Michelle: You could try one of the frozen foods that has all the vitamins added (Hikari has some). I sometimes use a human-use multivitamin (at about 1 tablet per twenty gallons). The Marine salt (not rock salt) is just to give a little bit of the most common elements and trace elements found in sea-water. A teaspoon per ten gallons should be sufficient for that. It will raise your pH a bit, but that shouldn't hurt anything that you mentioned having in the tank. You could add it gradually and monitor the pH as you go. Just keep an eye on your live plants if you have any in there. Some plants would benefit from the minerals but some of course would not.
