Re: [GSAS-Member] excitement: a place to overwinter shubunkins!

Pooo....how did THAT happen...I was trying to write a response and
whammo...off went the reply.

Yay for shubunkin fry originally destined to be feeders. I know some
pretty ones got put in the batch you got since I simply couldn't rear them
all up. If it's not freezing all day, I plan to spend the 3-day weekend
seeing exactly what I still have in those big stock tanks and moving fish
into the garage for the rest of the winter. It's a big job but I hate
coming out to find a floater after the ice melts that should be a pretty
shubunkin swimming around for much longer. If I have a bunch left, maybe
someone else in the club is interested in calico goldfish?? But let's see
what I've really got first (grin).

I've got 8 koi left. I wish I'd kept more of the bright gold ones....wow,
the one I kept ended up being bright orange with irridescent scales. And
one of the other big ones....white with black blotches MAY be developing
some orange patches. My favorites are the three-colored koi
(white/black/orange)!
