Re: [GSAS-Member] 'curviceps' (was) Re: Kribs on the rampage

Yeah, I haven't seen them around lately.

I know that there were some at ACA (American Cichlid Assoc) convention last July in Ohio, along with a few other Latecara species.

I was very tempted, but had already purchased some Apistogramma baenshi, Taenicara candidi, and wasn't sure how I was handling the airlines for those... (oh and some chalinochromis, multis's etc). So I passed.

I will check to see if the other GSAS member there picked any up or not.

(but I still have no tank space!).

I'd probably buy some if I saw them! Seems like I could always find them
at The Fish Store but that was decades ago, and I don't go by there much
these days. A little google adventure brings up Laetacara curviceps...so
that may be the 'new' taxonomic name. Usually I saw them marketed as
'curviceps'. The coloration is a bit more subtle than the more
'in-your-face' cichlid colors, but they are small and they are mellow and
that goes a LONG ways with me!
