First of all David, I was not referring to you as a "lurker". The lurkers
know who they are - they signed onto the list months ago and have never said
_anything_ since. I am told that this sort of person, and this sort of
behaviour is hard to avoid - especially in a forum which is open to public
participation. Perhaps they get some sort of "kick" out of thinking that
they are participating in something when in fact they are just riding on
some else's coat-tails. Either they will get bored and drop off by
themselves, or one of these days I'll get pissed off enough with their
silent presence and unsubscribe them. We have real work to do here and I
don't like hanger's on. But they are the least of our worries.

I realize that not everyone can spend as much time and energy reading and
responding to the issues being discussed here as I have been - but I still
appreciate the time and energy which a number of you have been able to give
to this effort. With your help we should be able to carry this off handily.

And there is nothing wrong with chiming in with a "me too" comment now and
again on issues being discussed - it shows that you are reading and
thinking.

Your offer of help later on down the road has been noted with thanks - I'm
sure we'll need you once we get underway.
