Uh, folks. I think I stirred up a kettle that I didn't know was closing to bubbling. As far as I know, Carlos only posted once per list and I never suggested otherwise. What I was seeing was multiples re the event from a number of folks. Some of it just announcements some of it, discussion about announcements. Then I noticed the footer in Carlos's post about unsolicited solicitaions and was just having fun, poking at the irony. It was all done in a merry sport, which I thought would be clear enough since the subject matter applied as much to me as others -- even in poking fun I was continuing the discussion/announcement of the event as well as announcing the AGA convention with each post. It was just a romp and I apologize for inadvertently leading folks to such serious concerns. I had an entirely different take on the matter -- not serious at all. I don't think AB forum folks in particular have a problem with AGA. Some folks do have, shall we say, issues with AGA because it doesn't do all the things that some folks would like. But it's asking a lot of the handful of volunteers that work on AGA stuff, some of whom put in 10-or 20 hours a week on some of what the AGA does. Lest I be missunderstood further -- and for any missundertanding thus far I take full responsibility -- I'd like to say that Bailin and Roger posted some very thoughtful comments, showing two diff views of things. It's nice to hear thoughtful stuff and not just the rollick of us clowns. Having said all that, I'd like to say this: Enough already with talking the talk about the AB contest. Let's have some discussion about the AGA and ADA contests for a while ;-) And that remark is tongue in cheek too. If life wasn't so much fun, they'd have to pay me to do it. So far, I've been a volunteer. regards all, sh ===== S.
