I think this points to a general problem of a little short in a lot of ways that added up to more headaches than necessary. The probs were obvious to some convention attendees I spoke to and others just had a grand old time. I can't wait to see survey results. > > As another example, I didn't know about Ghazanfar's party > until the week > before. Re-arranging my flight was a hassle I could have > done without. Indeed, I'd call it folly, i.e., foolishness despite repeated advice and warning about the foolishness. They didn't test drive the set up or the software -- that's just plain dumb, imo. It wasn't, as I understand it, a tried and true system but something new at PVAS that GWAPA borrowed but had not used before. We don't know if the crash lost transactions. It might have merely cost some precious time, or it might have costs lots of money in lost transactions. And I'm not confident that Ivo will bother to figure out whether it did or not. sh _______________________________________________ AGA-sc mailing list AGA-sc@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/aga-sc
