A. sp. Aruaña is a commercial name that I've only seen on Japanese fish lists. It has never been published under this name. It is the same species as A. sp. Araguaia, a rarely seen slender caetei-complex species from the upper Rio Araguaia near the city of Aruaná, Brazil. I guess your fish were
imported from Aquarium Goias, a Japanese funded exporter out of Brazil. Contact me privately if you want to see a photo from Japan of this species and any other information.
