I would also like to know if there are any Apisto breeders in my area as

The LFS's in my area do not seem to have reliable sources for Apistogrammas.
Since I am new to the list, I do not know how much sale/trading takes place
on this list.  I would appreciate it very much if anyone could tell me how
fish are sold/traded here and what are the preferred method of
shipment/payment.  I would not mind driving for a couple of hours to get
nice Apistos.  However, if there is no breeder in a driving distance, I
would like to know what to expect, including the shipping method and the
rough estimate on the cost of the shipping.
