Re: Acclimating to "normal" water conditions



Francine,

Your total hardness is <4º dGH, which is pretty soft. If you are using tap water
(not a personal well), I'd bet that you water department is using a chemical base
to raise the pH in order to prevent corrosion of the water pipe (probably Sodium
Hydroxide). Definitely use the acid, but check the conductivity if possible. You
don't want it to get too high either.
