Give the pair their own tank....then remove the male after spawning.  Or
siphon off the fry and put them in a small tank with water from the
original hatching tank.  The male may be munching on them but I suspect
they may not be getting enough food.    I actually siphon off the fry and
float them in the same tank in a permanent coffee filter rigged with corks
to make it float.  The confined space helps the little guys catch the food
better and you can more easily check their bellies to see they are full.
