Yvan, I asked the same question many years ago and was told, NO, different worms.. to me the black worms look like BIG tubifex?? But then, what do I know?? Anyway, I stopped feeding tubifex and now only feed blackworms once a week, ..to selective fish only ..because when I was feeding tubifex, heavily, I lost a lot of apistos to, what looked like "bloat"... I found Nijesseni especially prone to this... I never fed them any black or tubifex worms again!. sal ----------------------------------------------------- Click here for Free Video!! http://www.gohip.com/free_video/ ----- Original Message ----- From: Yvan Alleau <yalleau@OCE.ORST.EDU> To: <apisto@listbox.com> Sent: Thursday, March 29, 2001 2:00 PM Subject: Re: Black face > aren't the so called black worms tubifex in reality. but people use a > different name so that they can still sell them!? > FLI USA > > Yvan Alleau > 712 Kings boulevard > 97330 Corvallis, Oregon > home # 738-0606 > College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences > Oregon State University > office (Burt 222) # 737-3649, to be used wisely ! > yalleau@oce.orst.edu > > "When you're far from everything, you're getting closer to the essential" > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Rich Grenfell" <rgrenfell@snet.net> > To: <apisto@listbox.com> > Sent: Thursday, March 29, 2001 1:57 PM > Subject: Re: Black face > > > > I have had good results with both blood worms and blackworms, should i > > be worried?
